Gold Coast based bohemian bridal wedding hairstylist Megy, the Lead Stylist and Owner of The Style Room, works with Brides and Bridesmaids from all over Brisbane to Byron Bay & absolutely loves what she does! Megy offers expert and advice and shares some of all time fave bridal hairstyles.

"I completed my apprenticeship and became a fully qualified hairdresser at a young age and have worked in salons for alot of my career. It's been 14 years and I absolutely love what I do. I really enjoy getting to know my Brides and Bridesmaids so I can get a perfect idea of the styles they want and what will best suit them.

The Style Room was born from styling my own Wedding, as a Bride to Be, I did my own hair and my bridesmaids. After having my daughter, I started freelancing and have had the honour of working on 40+ Weddings throughout Brisbane, the Gold Coast and down on the gorgeous Byron Bay.

Once you have decided on your Wedding date & may have an idea of the style you would like, there are questions to help you get a feel for a good match between Bride & Stylist. Remember take in any images of styles you like, visuals can really help set the standard & I suggest finding out:

1. Do they charge for a trial?
2. Does your hair styling package include the placement of your accessories ie: veil
3. Will the hairstyle last the whole day/evening?
4. Are they able to travel to you and what are the travel fees?
5. How much time should we leave for each hairstyle? (If you are also booking in a Bridal party)

I pride myself 100% on making sure my clients are in love with their styling so the best reward is seeing the look on their faces when their style is complete & they wouldn't change a thing! It's fantastic too, when I get to see my styles in action in the professional photographs my clients send to me.
