"Here at Communicake it, we are constantly working with new fonts and styles to create bespoke products, that are customised for our clients. Bespoke is an opportunity to make something unique for you." Bianca - Communicake It
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CREATE YOUR CAKE TOPPERS?
The Communicake it process starts by creating unique artwork for each order - with the customers chosen message, then having approval from the customer for the design, we then cut it in our Studio in Sydney's inner west, and then pack and post it to our customer. It typically takes 2-3 working days, however there have been times where we have helped customers within the hour!

Founded by Bianca Mediati, Communicake it started on the 5th of November 2012. Why is that exact date so relevant? When it was a close friends birthday - Christine - who was born 5th of November, Bianca thought to design and make something a little special... which turned out to be her first cake topper. "Christine Hip Hip Hooray!" in white acrylic was presented on an Italian Donut as a birthday gift. It was Christine's reaction (surprise, delight, and lots of laughter) that inspired Bianca to do something with this. Bianca started selling on Etsy, then developed her own website, and here we are still creating and making, and adding to the range of personalised products.
Bespoke translates to a uniquely designed and manufactured piece. It embodies the one-off product, the artwork is custom made, the message is completely unique, and the materials & processes we work with are also our own. Here at Communicake it, we are constantly working with new fonts and styles to create bespoke products, that are customised for our clients. Bespoke is an opportunity to make something unique for you.

We have 2 ways that you can work with Communicake it - The first is by choosing from one of our many styles on www.communicakeit.com You can choose the style, choose the finish, and type your message. We then receive the order, and start designing this custom artwork for you. We send the artwork over to you for approval, and then set it up for production with our laser machine. We cut the artwork using our laser cutter, and prepare it for the final piece. Most of the time our pieces require extra handling to finish the product correctly. We then package it, box it up, and post it to our customers. And viola, the customer will receive it in the post, or we offer a Pick Up service as well.
The second way we work together is creating a complete, unique package for our client. This includes the customer coming to us to design and make custom products for their big day, and/or the events leading up to the wedding (think of the bridal shower, hens night etc). For these types of projects, we meet with the client (or skype them if location doesn't work) and start the process of understanding the theme for their event, and mapping out all the design pieces, and quoting these up as well.
For me personally, I will always have a soft spot for the "Will you marry me?" cake topper, that my (now husband) proposed to me with! He ordered it through communicakeit.com, under a pseudo name, and I designed and made this cake topper unbeknownst that I would be the receiver! He proposed one afternoon when we took a walk up Tomaree Mountain, and had stopped for a picnic, he brought along the Watermelon Cake from BlackStar Pastry, and popped the cake topper on top. He turned it around to face me, and I said Yes.
And more recently, we have had some fun messages come through, for example - Same Penis Forever, and cheeky birthday toppers as well!
