Running a fashion label is something I have always had my heart set on, after learning to sew from my grandmother as a young girl. I really couldn't imagine myself doing anything else, so at 19 I packed my bags and moved to the city to study fashion design although unsure what my brand would exactly be. I absolutely fell in love with lingerie at college, so fascinated by the intricacies and details possible in such a small garment. I started Lazy Girl Lingerie while I was a student at fashion college but also worked for a number of years in the fashion industry in various fashion houses in bridal and evening wear manufacturing, gaining invaluable experience, knowledge and connections.
I wanted lingerie that I could be feel effortlessly sexy in, with out making a whole lot of fuss (I am lazy at heart, as the name suggests). I was searching for beautiful intimates that flattered a feminine figure, didn't dig in and made me feel sexy and amazing in my own skin. I couldn't find exactly what I was after, so I decided to design my own lingerie and fell in love from there. I was obsessed with the idea of lingerie you could be lazy in, lingerie that no one else may even see, but you knew it was there and it felt like your super power. I shared what I was making on Instagram and started getting requests for orders so I made an Etsy shop and eventually a website, and it all has taken off from there!
My favourite part is the designing process - I have always been artistic and creative, it is truly in my blood. Designing is a creative outlet for me, it's something I feel I need to do to live. It truly is a way of expressing yourself, and it is an absolute pleasure to see someone love something you have made enough to purchase it and wear it and for it to make them feel special, that feels really amazing and puts a great big smile on my face!

Lazy Girl Lingerie is a lingerie brand with a difference. I create beautiful lingerie pieces that are effortless to wear and flatter the feminine form. My philosophy is based around inspiring effortless confidence and helping women of all shapes and sizes to celebrate their bodies. LGL is so much more than just lingerie too, we are a community of fierce women supporting other women, being that positive support network we all need. Check out my Instagram and the blog to see what I mean! LGL designs are handmade in my Gold Coast studio, and made to order so I am able to accommodate for size customisations and requests. A lot of my lovely customers order different sizes for their tops and bottoms, request larger cup sizes to accomodate for their busts, add or minus length in the torso of their bodysuits - that's the beauty of shopping indie handmade, that these bespoke customisations are possible.

One of my best sellers for brides is the Adeina Bodysuit, with beautiful soft floral lace and a luxe satin ribbon lace up back, for lingerie that makes you feel like a work of art. I hand make every order especially for each order, so I am able to offer brides bespoke customisations so they can ensure their lingerie fits just right.
➳ Do you have a favourite style?
My lace up designs are my favourite - so feminine and flattering on all figures! I adore the Willa and Adeina lace up bodysuits, and the Ivy and Adaline knickers - they make your booty look so good ;)
➳ What is on the horizon for your brand?
So much to do, so little time! At the moment I am working on a range for bridal parties so that is really exciting! Beautiful silk robes and pyjama sets for ladies to lounge in while getting ready for the Wedding. I've had the idea in my head for a long time, so very excited to finally be bringing it to life.
