take us back to the beginning of it all for you - How and when was CHRISTIE NICOLE BRIDAL born? Once I left high school I went straight into studying a Bachelor of Design for 3 years. Once I finished I did an internship in New Zealand for 8 months and then moved back home. I was always obsessed with Couture wear but never really thought anything of it. I then started hand making lingerie and selling it online for about 5 years now. It wasn’t until I had a friend ask me if I would create her wedding dress, reception dress & veil. I got a shock and thought I can’t do this.. but I did and loved every second of it!

Once I put the images out there I got a influx of brides wanting me to create their wedding dress! I decided I really loved doing it! Its now been a year and half since Christie Nicole Bridal was born, and it has been such an amazing ride.

did you always know that you wanted to design Bridal couture? No not at all! I used to have my friends say to me, ‘Your making my Wedding dress one day.’ And I would respond NO WAY!

Funny how things change on this crazy ride called life.

do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? I never thought anything could be so rewarding, to call myself a Bridal designer makes me smile. I have seemed to attract such amazing women who have wanted me to create their dream wedding dress, they each individually have put all their trust in me. This whole experience has been so wonderful, I feel very lucky.

advice: Be your own individual self, wear something you love & feel comfortable as its your special day!

do you have a personal favourite style? I think the first ever Wedding and reception dress I did for Kym holds a special place in my heart. But.. I love all of them as they all represent each individual bride I have meet!
