how and when did you start Moksha Makeup? Moksha Makeup is quite new, however it was absolutely born out of love! I love what I do and I love everything about being a part of someones special day. I wasn't confident to do Bridal makeup at first and my friend pushed me to do a Wedding. After that first Wedding I knew it was what I wanted to do forever and I haven't looked back!

Moksha Makeup offers a professional makeup service using cruelty free makeup and vegan options (if you need hair styling too, please let me know as I work with some amazing stylists also). Listening to the Brides wants and needs is my number one. No matter your style, I work with you to customise your individual bespoke look. Keeping the Bride calm on her special day is a priority, 'cause lets face it - Weddings can be stressful! did you always know that you wanted to be a makeup artist? I have been obsessed with makeup since I was a little girl! Growing up I would always do my friends makeup for special events but never took it to the next level. It was only when I was in the process of becoming a beauty therapist that I really found my love for makeup again. I enrolled to study my Diploma of Makeup straight after I graduated the Diploma of Beauty Therapy and once I began in Bridal styling, I haven't looked back! I also have an interest in special fx makeup on special occasion - its a great way to perfect techniques and try different things.
do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? Everyone always asks me, "wow you must see some Bridezilla's", but the answer is NO! I feel lucky to work mostly within the northern rivers with most of my Weddings from Tweed to Byron Bay. The vibe is chill and all my brides have been absolutely amazing.
advice: Social media is your best friend when it comes to Weddings. Search hashtags on Facebook and Instagram. Look up Bridal directories online and style your look on Pinterest as it will help you with your vision of what you are wanting for your big day. ALWAYS make sure you have a trial. It's so important to see your envisioned look and wear it for a day to see if you want to make any changes as on the wedding day theres no time to change things once they are done.
do you have a personal favourite style of makeup? Absolutely! My favourite is boho natural glam. You still want to look like yourself, just a more glam version! Bronzed with a glow is my signature look and it suits absolutely everyone!
the best part about what you do: The best part about what I do is being included in someones special day. It really is a privilege! Making someone feel special and beautiful is why I do what I do. Seeing a Bride look at herself on her Wedding day after she sees her makeup all done gets me every time!
