How and when was When Freddie Met Lilly born? When Freddie met Lilly was born about 6 years ago. It was time to move into a new area, having previously worked as a menswear specialist and having owned a few boutiques. The name is after Freddie and Lilly, my/owner and head designer Vanessa's niece and nephew.

What can When Freddie Met Lilly offer a couple for their Wedding day? (We are loving the inclusion of Groom wear!) When Freddie met Lilly can completely style you and your Bridal party, or Wedding attendees for your big day! We offer off the rack and bespoke Bridal wear, tailored suiting, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses and accessories for all. Our gowns are made to your measurements using the most luxurious French and Italian fabrics. We have almost 2,000 suiting fabrics for you to choose from and all of our garments can be made in a range of colours. Nothing is too hard - just ask!

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? So many great stories from the past few years! All I can say is that Bridal is such a personalised field, and that is the best bit. You get to help others bring their dreams to life and be a part of what is a truly amazing, emotional journey in someones life. Everyone is different, and your Wedding is a chance to celebrate that and to celebrate the love around you. It is so, so magic.

Where do you find most of your inspiration? Everywhere! Our major source of inspiration is our Brides. As we can custom make gowns for our Brides we are often inspired by the ideas and designs we develop within an appointment. Our latest collection for example, Easton, has the Erin Gown which is named after one of our Brides who's dress inspired the gown!

Advice: Gather as much inspiration as you can and just start! It is a daunting process before you begin but as soon as you start shopping you will start to narrow down what you do/don't like, what works for your body and what suits your special day. Keep an open mind, most people don't end up with what they originally thought they would.

Do you have a personal favourite style? Oh there are too many to choose from! Anything that makes someone feel confident. That is what we wish for all our clients and what we aim for in our appointments.

What is the best part about what you do: The people! Everyone comes with a myriad of stories and we just love getting to know our clients and helping them find a design that is special to them, and that they will cherish for years to come. We love when brides in particular come to us with ideas, or even heirlooms - we have had brides bring us silk from their grandmother's Wedding gown to put into their own gown. We love being able to be a part of these incredibly special moments.
