How and when was HARPER ARROW born? We met while working at Sportsgirl 7 years ago and both shared a passion for creating beautiful spaces. Whether it was a Halloween party, Christmas drinks or even girls catch up, we would deck out the space to make it that extra special. Demi always has had a keen eye for styling and started to progress her career in visual merchandising. While Emily finished her university degrees and started an online business stocked with homewares sourced from across the globe. It wasn’t until we returned from travelling overseas together in 2016 that we decided to combine join forces. We started to source more props and style more shoots to create social media content. We were initially going to start with sourcing and hiring props until a friend of a friend saw our page and asked us to style her Wedding. We absolutely loved the whole process so much we decided to immerse ourselves in the styling industry.

What can HARPER ARROW offer a couple for their Wedding day? We love joining in on our couple’s journey, making sure we are there from the early planning stages. We provide guidance on important decisions and working with your suppliers to ensure the space both functionally and visually works well together. Whether it be assistance on where to allocate your budget, colour themes, quirky features or overall design, we love helping out in anyway we can to help eliminate stress. We love creating unique experiences for our couples where from the minute your guests arrive to the moment they leave, they will be immersed in a day that reflects your personal style.

Did you always know that you wanted to be an event stylist? We both always knew we wanted to work in a creative role but initially thought it would be in the fashion or interior industry. After navigating through visual merchandising roles we naturally progressed into event styling.

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? Our favourite story is how we started with our first job. Initially it was never our intention to get into styling straight up, so to have our first job be a Wedding was quite daunting. However it was so amazing and we loved the whole creative journey. Every opportunity we have had since then we have jumped at and have all led to other amazing events/experiences. Moral of the story whenever an opportunity arises take it as you never know where it could lead!

What advice would you offer to a Bride that is just starting out on their search for the perfect Wedding stylist? Make sure you hunt for a stylist that is relatable and understands your overall vision for the day. Organisation, dedication and open communication is also a must! You want your stylist to treat your Wedding as if it was their own.

Please tell us about the best part about what you do: There are so many! Getting to work with your best friend every day, meeting and working with so many amazing vendors, seeing our clients reaction when they see their event, all while continuously being creatively challenged (just to name a few).
