It's regular clientele base grew looking after mum's, kids, husbands and families, providing colouring, cutting, and styling services for all of Melissa's clients in the comfort of their own home! When Melissa started accepting Bridal bookings over the weekends as well from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay, she realised it was what she really loved!
"As the years went by, I started to book more Weddings and formal bookings and felt that styling hair is my passion! I just love being part of my Brides' Wedding morning and being able to create the perfect hairstyle for their memorable day! I am now focussed wholly on Weddings and styling hair for all special occasions! I have a small professional team of hair and makeup artists that are part of Hair I Come, and are committed to creating the best styling experience for all Hair I Come brides to be!" Melissa tells.

On your special day you’re going to be very excited and a maybe a little bit nervous, styling hair and applying make-up is just a part of what we do. We will look after you and make sure you are calm and relaxed while we will keep the morning running smoothly. We will ensure you are ready right on time and are ready to walk down the aisle. We cater for bridal parties of all sizes, we will make sure your special day runs efficiently and is very memorable.
Did you always know that you wanted to be a hairstylist? My grandmother and mother were both hairdressers! I used to watch my mum looking after her clients doing her sets, colours and perms, haha! ...and I new that one day I would also follow in her footsteps too and become a hairdresser!
What keeps you inspired along the way? So many hairstylists keep me inspired along the way, I love watching videos and viewing work from all my favourite artists who keep me so inspired! I love learning new techniques and tricks all the time!! You never stop learning and growing as an artist!
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? I have many stories and experiences from over the past 20 years of my hairdressing career! But my stand outs come from the beautiful weddings that I get to be a part of! From waking up as early as 2.30am in morning, getting to drive to beautiful locations, and going to the most incredible venues that are breathtaking, some on farms, some up high in the sky, others in tranquil rainforests and others on beautiful coastlines! Every wedding morning is a memorable one!
Advice: If you are after a particular hairstyle, then look on the stylists Instagram page and if you can see that they have done similar or that same hairstyle before, then that is a great sign!!! Another great tip is to read their reviews and comments, this will give you an idea of past brides experiences! Also look out for any Bridal Awards they have received as these awards are voted by past brides themselves!
Do you have a personal favourite style? I love the soft braided up styles the most, so many variations and different braids you can incorporate as well as the softness of the style!
Please tell us about the best part about what you do: I just love what I do and enjoy every day! I love putting smiles on faces, making Brides and my clients feel amazing! The best part is when I get to show them their finished hairstyle in the mirror!! I love seeing their reactions and hearing their beautiful comments and happiness !!! Its very rewarding!
