Did you always know that you wanted to be a makeup artist? My whole life I have been creative. I started out drawing and painting as a child and I also learnt from a young age how to do my own makeup for dance concerts... I was very independent! It was a natural progression becoming a Makeup Artist and once I worked on my very first wedding I knew that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life!
What keeps you inspired along the way? I get inspired by researching and collecting new makeup products to add to my professional Kit. The Makeup world is constantly evolving, trends and styles are changing. I love keeping current with the latest makeup techniques and products. I find it important to continue expanding my knowledge of Makeup and never get too set in my ways.
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? The most touching moment I have had working on a Wedding was when my 2018 Bride Jess wanted to wait until both her hair and makeup were completed before looking in the mirror. When she finally saw herself she was overwhelmed with tears of joy and couldn't believe how beautiful I made her look and feel. It was such a rewarding moment! It's so special to be apart of a Bride's wedding day and make them feel beautiful.
What advice would you offer to a Bride that is just starting out on their search for the perfect Bridal Stylist? Quality is so important! It is the one day that you should look and feel your absolute best! Sometimes paying an extra 5 -10 dollars per person makes all the difference in Quality. Trust me it's worth it! Consistency is the key!
Trust your instincts when looking at a Wedding Stylists Instagram and website. You might see a couple of great images on their page but if you don't love all of the images, than book someone that you know is consistently blowing you away!
