How and when was EMMA MAY STUDIO born?
We are the new kids on the block who officially launched at the start of this year! I wanted to offer more of a modern take on wedding stationery, and so Emma May Studio was born. I have always been obsessed with printed paper goods; the different textures, range of print possibilities & the ability to turn a design into a tangible experience.

What can EMMA MAY STUDIO offer a couple for their Wedding day?
At Emma May Studio we pride ourselves on building relationships with our clients. We want our couple's to love their stationery as much as we do! Couples are welcome to choose from our range of fully customisable pre-designed suites or we can offer a fully custom design experience (we welcome new ideas with open arms!).

Did you always know that you wanted to design luxurious paper goods?
Since leaving university, I landed a full time gig as a Graphic Designer in a small studio. However, the goal was always to start my own business. I have always been wedding obsessed so designing wedding stationery just came naturally. It’s incredibly rewarding seeing our pieces become apart of a couple’s special day.

What keeps you inspired along the way?
I’m inspired by other creatives, especially those pushing boundaries. I source inspiration from various platforms (fashion, architecture, my immediate surroundings, photography, publications etc).

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
Since starting my business, I was pleased to quickly learn how many amazing vendors there are within the wedding industry. I have noticed that many vendors within the industry value community over competition. This became apparent for me when I first launched my website & asked for feedback. I was lucky enough to be provided with such constructive advice from a range of different vendors who kindly took the time out of their day to suggest areas for improvement.

Advice:
Choosing your stationery is often one of the first stages in the wedding planning process. I would advise couples to value this stage. Your invites set the tone for your event, they evoke emotion & spark excitement. Oh, and my advice would be to order a few extra invites to frame for after your event!

Do you have a personal favourite style?
I would describe my style as modern & bold. I work with couples who aim to stand out from the crowd and want to steer away from traditional wedding stationery.

What is the best part about what you do:
It’s honestly so hard to choose one! But it would probably be all the wonderful clients I am lucky enough to work with. I have built strong relationships with so many amazing clients. I am looking forward to seeing where this year takes Emma May Studio.
