"I love being involved with people at the start of what could be the best adventure of their existence."
Take us back to the beginning of it all for you - How and when was did you decide to become a Celebrant?
It was in 2010 - I live in Noosa and see lots of weddings - I watched a few on the way back from surfing and felt they needed to be much more relaxed, much more fun and real. It should be more exciting and less about rainbows and butterflies and more about truth, connection - family and friends

A ceremony that is real, engaging and authentic - love ceremonies but also find it really rewarding to stick around and MC the night - allows the day to have the same vibe
What keeps you inspired along the way?
I'm into positive psychology and the concept of marriage flourishing and providing a real path for two people to experience the best that a marriage relationship can bring.
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
A completely bizzare couple asked me to marry them in the nude - amongst other wilder requests from the groom - I politely declined the wedding.
What advice would you offer a couple just starting out on their search for the perfect Wedding Celebrant?
Always go with your heart - go for what you want then adapt to make it happen - you only want to do this once - in twenty years you wont regret it

What is your own personal favourite style of ceremony?
Chilled, small group of family and friends - I just started this concept in Noosa of Elope-on-aBoat - it's me driving the boat to an awesome spot on the Noosa River with drinks, fruit, nuts and a photographer - 8 guests and having a cool time together - dropping you guys off for a magic lunch or dinner at one of Noosa's amazing restaurants
What is the best part about what you do:
Being involved with people at the start of what could be the best adventure of their existence.
