Did you always know that you wanted to design wedding invitations?
I come from a creative family of photographers, fashion designers and artists and I've been an Art Director for over 15 years now in the creative industry, so design has always been a big part of my life. Add this to my obsession with weddings and stationery and it actually ended up being a really natural next step for me.

How and when was Petit Poussin Paperie born?
I launched Petit Poussin Paperie in January of this year. I've always been stationery obsessed, but the business stemmed from helping a friend plan her wedding. I absolutely loved scrolling through Pinterest looking for wedding stationery, but in the end, I designed something for her myself. I thought, 'well that was fun' and the rest as they say, is history.

What keeps you inspired along the way?
Pinterest, Instagram, design, photography and interior websites. I can't get enough of the amazing talent out there. Also having the encouragement of an amazing husband who is 100% supportive and keeps me inspired to keep going.

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? While planning a wedding can be a lot of work, it is also one of the most exciting times in a person's life and being a part of that has been so much fun. Customers are always so excited when they find out our designs are fully customisable to match their colour theme and the positive feedback on my designs has been so lovely.

I have Danish and Swedish heritage so a minimalist look has always been more my style. Having said that, I married a Frenchman (hence the name of my business) and we spend a lot of time in France, so the luxury and elegance of the French style has also started to play a big part in my designs.

What is the best part about what you do: Since I've only launched Petit Poussin Paperie last month a friend asked me how it's all going and I could only reply with, 'it's just so much fun'. Loving what you do is a real luxury in life.
