From her 'a-ha' moment to luxe wedding styling services, The Wedding & Event Creators began offering their clients stunning solutions to their Wedding requirements seven years ago. Catering to their clients needs across the South Coast of NSW, Vanessa and her Team provide their couples with exceptional support from full day coordination and setup of their Wedding day to styling & hire or just Wedding planning services. Vanessa shares her expert advice on Weddin planning and some of their favourite Wedding styles.

Did you always know that you wanted to design events & weddings?
I always loved creating my own events and when I designed by daughters 1st birthday, I just loved the whole process and felt an áh-ha!' moment like this was what I was born to do. I loved the whole process from organising the vendors but also felt so passionate about the attention to detail of each aspect of the styling and how it all comes together as a theme and whole picture. Then of course, the rest is history as I took that passion and now focus primarily on weddings.

What keeps you inspired along the way?
The people I work with actually! I find surrounding myself with like minded creatives and other passionate people in the wedding industry keeps me striving, reinventing, coming up with new ideas ,and overall makes me super happy to be doing the job I am doing!

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
Too many to tell! We have many stories to tell, from hilariously drunk brides (and family members) to crazy long winded speeches, a groom passing out during his vows, forgotten rings....the list could go on!

What advice would you offer a couple just starting out on their search for the perfect Wedding planner & stylist?
I find its super important to make sure your planner has worked and had experience working at your chosen venue. We find we always get comments from our past couples saying how invaluable it was that we could offer suggestions for layout, guidance on local suppliers that also know the venue, and general help and advice along the way due to our experience or knowledge in their venue.

Also ask what they include if you are comparing planners, some offer 1 coordinator only to manage the wedding with no set up services included, so may appear cheaper but you pay in time and stress on your wedding morning running around setting everything up! Look at the inclusions, or non-inclusions and be realistic.

Do you have a personal favourite style of Wedding?
I just love the neutral and natural vibe at the moment, if you start with a neutral base of creams, whites, wood tones, bamboo, wicker, then you can build to make the wedding your own by personalising with pops of colour you love, florals, signage and more.

What is the best part about what you do:
I love my job! The variety is so much fun, whilst we are experienced in doing this every weekend, each wedding is sooooo very different which keeps it fun and a great variation of exciting things happening. I also love our adorable couples that have trust in us to completely run their weddings - thanks guys!
