Sas, the head Townsville Wedding floral stylist of Fresh of Sas has always had a passion for floral design, influenced through growing up in a Pacific Island household. Sas would create pieces for friends and family, and over time word of mouth spread. Before she knew it, the interest had spread & demand was so high that Sas decided it was time to become official and share the love with everyone! Fresh as Sas was launched December 2017 and is ever expanding, remaining humble through her appreciation for her friends and family who have been the inspiration behind Sas getting her floral design business off the ground.

Did you always know that you wanted to design floral couture?
I have always been creative; however, I didn’t expect to be running my own business doing what I love. Working with flowers had always been a hobby of mine, but I believe the things you are most passionate about aren’t random - they are your calling.
What keeps you inspired along the way?
As no two pieces are ever the same, I thrive when thinking about the final outcome, and I adore seeing our client’s expressions when they see their vision come to life.
My creativity grows with the different selections and array of materials I am able to work with. It’s exciting when materials that may not generally fit together, come to create a beautiful piece. This often makes the creation all the more impressive. Customer suggestion adds more fuel to our fire too!
Enter THE VISION BOARD! We split it down the middle where you “both” find images & inspiration that you like, whether it be screenshots, magazine cut outs or even rough sketches on the back of a receipt. Once up, you’ll get to see what you both like. This will establish a theme or style. Showing this to a floral designer is GOLD, it gives both parties a clear outline of creation, putting everyone on the same page. So, you can be sure your vision will come to life.
What is your own personal favourite styling?
Tropical styling is in my DNA, incorporating this with Boho and a touch of Luxe takes things to the next level, I could create for days!
Collaborating with other small businesses here in Townsville, has taught me some amazing things. We bring out the best in each other, helping to put a new creative spin on things and expand in our work.

The reactions of my clients! The saying “love what you do and you will never work a day in your life”, is true and I can certainly vouch for it when I see the looks on my client’s faces. From flower crowns and bouquets, to full blown weddings, topped off with a one of a kind floral arbour. Words cannot describe the feeling of planning, ordering and the process in between to create a vision.
When all is done, seeing their faces at first glance, melts everything else away in the most rewarding way.
