"Goddess By Nature was created in Australia in 2012 by myself, Elaine Kwan the creative director. Having been a bridesmaids personally so many times over the years prompted me to create a collection of modern yet timeless beautiful bridesmaids gowns that could cater for ladies of all different shapes & sizes to not only feel comfortable but also feel very flattering & beautiful & most importantly also practical in being able to wear these gowns over and over again even after that special day.

We believe that all women are natural born Goddesses so we wanted to create a bridal collection to celebrate that with a range of timeless, modern and unique dresses that can cater to suit and flatter ladies of all shapes and sizes from petite to curvy to maternity, emphasising on the shape of the female body.

We believe that a comfortable bride is a beautiful bride on the day so we start by using the most comfortable, softest stretch jersey lining materials underneath all our gowns which are breathable as well as being flattering with luxe laces and fabric on top to create the most gorgeous silhouette and style.

We have a wide range with 3 collections - Modern Romantic, Timeless Classic and Exclusive Luxe to cater for different budgets. We also have bridal separates which are so on-trend right now for brides to mix and match to create their own looks too.

Brides can also customise their gowns to suit their personal style and taste so we offer range of customisations from colour selections to train lengths to extra lining/support to back and neckline positionings and sleeves/no sleeves options.

We also like to innovate and push design boundaries by creating 2 looks in 1 for the brides with some styles featuring detachable flutter sleeves, capes, veil and also removable skirts and underskirt linings.

Our mission is to provide exceptional customer service along with being flexible, having premium quality designs with luxe material and workmanship, we want to celebrate and make all our brides feel like a total Goddess on their special day.

Did you always know that you wanted to design Bridal fashion? Having a love for all things beautiful, fashion, design and being creative since I was young, with a background in design, brand marketing and creating special events, it was a natural progression to grow the brand and launch our debut bridal collections which has now grown to over 50+ gowns to choose from.

With such a positive response from the Bridemaids range and having brides choose to wear these as their wedding gown, the whole process was such a heart warming one for me.

What advice would you offer a Bride just starting out on their search for the perfect Wedding dress? Know your body shape well & what styles would suit your body shape best, you will know yourself what you feel great in. When you start your search you can select the styles you like to try on but its also important to have an open mind and just go with the flow trying on different style gowns to see which fit, materials and styles you like.

It is also very important to know and envision what your wedding style is like - the venue, decor, time/season etc.. so that way it will also help you decide on the practically side of things as well for the gown so if you’re having a destination tropical beach wedding you will be wanting something that’s lighter and more breathable that’s suitable for the hotter & humid climates.

If you’re having a white winter wedding in a cold climate you may consider wearing a long sleeves gown etc to suit.
Having a Pinterest board is also great to start collecting all the inspirational ideas you’d like to have for your dream day with regards to colour palette, styling and looks. We also encourage brides to start shopping about one year before your wedding date to allow yourself enough time to find your gown. Finding the gown earlier rather than later will allow time for alterations you may want after receiving your gown.

And also please let the bridal shops know your budget, realistically, so we can work with you in showing you the styles that are within that budget. If you’re also planning on chaning weight leading up to the wedding day you will also need to then let the shop/designer know to make allowance for that with regards to the right size required.

What keeps you inspired along the way? Travelling to different places, a love of music and arts, enjoying experiencing has kept me inspired to create gowns to reflect our modern, unique brides who love to be true to themselves. However the biggest inspiration is our own brides who choose to customise their gowns to really make it their own, and also how they wear or style our gowns on their special day really reflects their own unique personality and individuality and they all look like total Goddesses on their day.
