Kara always knew she wanted to be in the hands on creative industry and in 2014 with founding partner, Faith, decided to post some of her first ever creations on Instagram to see if the world felt the same passion & if they wanted to see more from Rose + Bud. It worked!
Tell us about what Rose and Bud can offer a couple for their Wedding day? R+B offer creations that are a cumulation of our experience, your love + represent the vision you’ve always had for that one day that starts the rest of your life together.
Did you always know that you wanted to create floral magic for weddings and events? Always. Ever since tagging along with my mum too all those Floral Art Society Of WA’s meetings in the 90's when I was still in primary school - I was OBSESSED. Even when everything was so symmetrical + roses weren’t flipped. There is something so magical about creating for two souls for a fleeting day, representing their journey + love. There’s really nothing else like it.
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? Just love stories. So. Many. Love. Stories.
What advice would you offer to Nearly Weds who are just starting out on their search for the perfect wedding floral stylist? Pick a floral stylist that you feel that initial pull towards when you see their past work + creations. It’s like that love at first sight you had with your partner, when you know it’s just right. You’ll know with your florist too + that’s who you should choose to be a part of your day. Other than that, Newly Weds should ask friends + other vendors for those all-important recommendations – if they loved their floral stylist + had an enjoyable journey planning together for their Big Day, chances are you will too!
Tell us about the best part about what you do: Creating. I get to see all those ideas that swim around in my head become reality. Seeing our bride’s faces when we deliver the bouquets on the morning-of + knowing I’ve made something so special to them is so special to ME!
