Beloved Bohemian is still only a tiny sprout but Cheriese has acheived so much since officially launching Beloved Bohemian in July 2018. After working in community services as her 9-5 for the past 10 years started taking its toll and with the children more independent, it was the perfect time for Cheriese really living her best and most passionate life. She prepared, researched, trained and took the plunge!

As another option I have a large workspace perfect for the average sized bridal party where you can come, relax and be absolutely pampered and taken care of.

Did you always know that you wanted to be a hairstylist? I'm convinced that being a hairstylist was always meant to be a part of my story. From a young age, I have always had the passion and natural talent for not only hairstyling but making things beautiful & romantic, beyond aesthetics I chase the emotion inspired by creation.

What keeps you inspired along the way? Beloved Bohemian is about so much more than just the hair... I’m constantly inspired by the desire to spread the message of self love, womens empowerment and embracing yourself just as you are. The slogan “for the wild hearted woman” is more than just a catchy phrase. I hope to inspire women to embrace their natural beauty, and enhance this with effortless romantic styles that just feel right.

I have met so many people, who have said they got so dolled up, that they didn’t even recognise themselves on their wedding day. My goal is to help my beautiful brides be and feel their beautiful self on their day. Your hair is your crown after all, and every woman is a queen in her own right. I am constantly inspired by the work of amazing women like Jody Callan, Alesha Darke and Ulyana Aster for hair, and mood / style inspo by Luna Lindsay and Angel Rose Turner.

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences? I’m not sure if this is relevant but I had an adorable experience with one of my formal girls where she actually needed my help applying her Hollywood tape to her dress! I love this memory because it really captured for me the special importance of the intimate relationship I like to form with every lady I meet. It brings me genuine sunshine when I get messages from my brides / clients asking for advice beyond hair, from wedding planning to style inspo.

What advice would you offer a Bride just starting out on their search for the perfect Wedding hairstylist? Every woman has their own unique beauty, style and taste, none better than the next! I always advise brides to be to review the work of various stylists and consider which aligns with what will make them feel most beautiful on their day.

I also absolutely recommend trials once you have chosen your stylist, this I cannot stress enough as it relieves pressure from the bride herself and the stylist on the big day because everyone is on the exact same page and knows exactly what to expect.

What is your own personal favourite style? As the name implies, Beloved Bohemians signature style is bohemian inspired. What is bohemian hair anyway? Bohemian hair is effortless in appearance, soft and flowing, whispy and whimsical. My mantra is “don’t stop until it’s perfect”... now perfect in this instance does not mean every hair in perfect place. It more refers to the “feel” of the final look.

What is the best part about what you do: The absolute best part of this hands down is the absolutely incredible souls I have met along the way. I don’t know if I’m just lucky but I’ve been incredibly blessed by the most beautifully natured brides. I adore getting to know them, their story, their hopes and even their fears for their big day. Knowing these beautiful ladies is even more drive to be even a small part of their happiness on such a special day.
