I offer a range of services for my brides, as well as their mums, bridesmaids + flowergirls. I custom make couture bridal headpieces, veils, capes, Swarovski crystal jewellery, hand-made silk flowers, bespoke millinery, fascinators, garters, as well as dress additions like beading, lace applique, belts, straps etc. I can custom colour match accessories to the outfit for the perfect finishing touch.
I offer a personalised service to my brides, where we sit and discuss all the elements of the wedding day, the dress, the hair and inspirations photos. We try on headpieces and I then design a one of a kind piece that is made just for them - Everything I design is hand-made by me, right here in Perth.
Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
I love that each of the pieces I create tells a story. I have made so many special accessories over the years, but the ones that really stay with me are the items that have incorporated a special memento from a loved one.
I recently made my bride Emily a headpiece and garter using material and lace from her Mother’s and Grandmother’s wedding dresses.
Another is Jade, who’s Grandma had left her a crystal necklace when she passed away. I dissembled the necklace, and hand beaded the crystals into a headpiece for her to wear. She told me it was her favourite element of the day, because she felt like her Grandma was there with her.
Natalie and her mum came to see me when they couldn’t find her mum’s headpiece that she wanted to wear for her wedding. They had three weeks until the wedding and were stressed to say the least! They showed me two of her mum’s wedding photos and I recreated a new beaded and lace crown that complimented Natalie’s wedding dress perfectly. (photo attached)
I have used brooches, jewellery, fabrics, veils, all kinds of things that hold sentimental value to the bride and then reinvented them in a unique, new piece for her big day. A fantastic keepsake that a bride can wear and can then become an heirloom piece to pass on to future generations.

My suggestion is to choose your dress first, as everything you wear should compliment your dress and make it shine, not compete for attention. Then choose something that you love and hopefully will wear again! It is important to match the colour and any beading or lace features. Consider your hair style and the location of the wedding. Your accessories should be practical as well as comfortable enough for you to wear all day. Make sure your accessories are well made, invest in a piece that will last long after the wedding and not fall apart during the day!
If you aren’t sure, ask your designer for their recommendation as they will give you expert advice and help you choose the perfect finishing touch for your bridal look.
Do you have a prediction for any upcoming 2020 design styles?
Capes, they are a great alternative to the traditional veil.
Juliet caps are making a comeback for the Boho loving bride.
Modern, edgy headbands that make a statement.
And lastly, wide brimmed hats – perfect for an outdoor ceremony and the bonus, you can wear it on your honeymoon whilst sipping cocktails by the pool!
Tell us about the best part about what you do:
I get to chat to brides and play with beautiful silks, laces and Swarovski crystals every day! J I love what I do and don’t think of it as a job, it is my passion! Because everything I create is tailor made to each bride and is therefore one of a kind, I get to make a wide range of accessories and be creative every day. I also love being a part of the planning of a bride’s big day. It is so rewarding seeing everything they have told me about come together, and see photos of them wearing their special piece, after the wedding.
