Tell us about what gwen floral co. can offer a couple for their Wedding day?
I believe flowers are one of the best ways to bring life and beauty to a celebration. I offer one-of-a-kind bespoke floral design for weddings in South-East Queensland (and beyond!). I love being able to unpack and achieve my client's individual vision, and I honestly pour my heart into every single wedding that I get to be involved in. I love not only creating a beautiful floral product, but also making the whole process really enjoyable and stress-free for my clients.

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
There was a wedding I did not long after I launched my business, and it will always stand out in my mind. The bride had some really unique, gorgeous ideas and there wasn't really anything on Pinterest that reflected the look we were trying to achieve. We shared so many sketches, photos and notes, and even did a venue walkthrough to discuss the details. Finally when the wedding day came and months of planning all came together, it was just the best feeling to see the concept finally come to life. She texted me the next morning with the nicest message, and it just brought me so much joy!

Advice:
Don't follow trends just for the sake of it. Choose a concept that you love now, and that you know will also love in 50 years time. Also, choose a florist you genuinely trust! You've got to love their work, and trust that they are going to make your vision a reality. Allow your florist to provide some suggestions - they may have the most amazing ideas that you haven't even thought of!

2020 predictions:
Unstructured and minimalist designs, dried textures and muted palettes.

Tell us about the best part about what you do:
Creating floral magic that truly enhances the overall look, feel and atmosphere for such a special day in a couple's lives is a real privilege. I also just love being able to make my clients feel valued and at ease during a time that can be quite hectic and overwhelming. It melts my heart when I hand the bridal bouquet to a bride and she gets emotional, or when I receive the loveliest text or email after the wedding. I even recently had an hour-long coffee catch up with a previous client and we chatted about the wedding and life in general! I just love that so many of my clients have genuinely become friends.
