how and when was le fleur by chloe born?
I’ve always felt a deep desire to create and express myself through art, I tried all sorts of different mediums over the years but none of them really spoke to me like flowers did. Le Fleur by Chloe came about after 6 years of working in retail florist stores on and off I got a point where I craved to have my own voice and complete creative freedom so it really sparked this desire to build something that was mine. There’s really no better feeling then doing it for yourself. Starting a business is one of the best things I’ve ever done; you are constantly growing and challenging yourself. Every day I’m learning something new.

I put my all into every single wedding I take on and I’m really cautious not to overbook.
I only do a selection of weddings a year this means I’m giving my couples 100% always.
I can really take the time to work with them on achieving their vision.
I also go above and beyond to source floral material.
Often the markets don’t have all the unique ingredients that I want.
So I spend the days leading up to the wedding driving around foraging all the secret spots I have found for the goods.
is there a story you would like to share from your experiences?
One of the highlights so far actually happened a few weeks ago. My nan called me to announce that she’s to marry her long time partner later this year, he has been battling cancer for many years so it’s one of his bucket list wishes that they finally wed. Of course I’ve been asked to do the flowers.
It’s such an honour to create for such a sentimental occasion and I know it will be such a special day to remember.
what advice would you offer to Nearly Weds about to choose their wedding floral designer?
I would say choose your florist based off their style aesthetic and not because they are cheaper. A passionate and experienced florist is well worth the investment. As a florist our work is so close to our hearts, we love what we do and want to work with clients and couples that really appreciate and trust us whole heartedly. Be flexible with flower choices, pick seasonal blooms where possible and be open to your florists recommendations we know what works and what doesn’t. Focus more on what vibe you’d like to create and a colour palette, we can do the rest.

I’m seeing a lot more clashing saturated colour combos emerging.
I’m all about it, bold & brave brides get in touch!
tell us about the best part about what you do:
The thrill of hand picking the blooms; my market list is never completely set in stone, I always leave a percentage open. I let the markets inspire me with the mornings best and it keeps some spontaneity to the designs and a fresh approach. You also really can’t go past the feeling of standing back after an wedding or event and seeing the finished product; taking it all in and knowing that you’ve brought this vision to life. It’s honestly the most rewarding feeling and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
