Brunswick East based wedding and event planners Nudo Events, brings together some of the industries most talented suppliers into a super flexible wedding package that takes care of every component of a couple's wedding day. "We wrap in a full wedding planning service and do it all for a few thousand dollars less than if a couple sourced all our vendors and planned their wedding on their own. How and when did Nudo come to be?
Actually, Nudo has been a concept 5 years in the making! Paul Carr, a tech entrepreneur, was trying to build the best AI wedding planning technology in the world and collected an enormous amount of data on weddings, trends and what couples were loving for their big day. At the same time, Will Campbell, a wedding photographer, found he was becoming a pseudo wedding planner as his couple's were lost and stressed on their journey and needed help and recommendations. This is where they both noticed the same problem.

Weddings are more expensive and more complicated than ever before, pushing couples to plan their day on their own to save cost. This often results in a stressful experience as most couples have never planning a wedding before and don't even know where to start. Nudo was born from wanting couples to have the best experience not only on their wedding day, but also during the planning process!

Did you always know that you wanted to manage a Wedding + function venue?
Absolutely! That is the core focus of Nudo’s vision. To create the best end to end wedding experience in the world. From the moment a couple step inside our venue for the first time, to the magic moment they say I do and get the party started, we want our couples to love every moment of getting married. Not just the wedding day, but the planning too! The Wool Mill is our first venue baby, with very exciting ventures soon to be announced. Watch this space!

Do you have any stories that you would like to share from your experiences?
Our very first couple, Issy and Ricardo, who booked their wedding with Nudo at The Wool Mill when it was literally a run down Wool Mill (pre-renovations), believed in the Nudo vision so much and let us take the reigns of their wedding planning from day dot, ended up inviting the entire Nudo team to their wedding! We all became such good friends along their journey, that we all still catch up and go out for dinner -- best first wedding ever!

Advice:
Trust your gut. When you first step into a venue, you’ll know if you love it or not. That intuition shouldn’t be ignored! If it’s not a hell yeah, it’s a no! Also if you’re anxious or overwhelmed about planning your wedding. Use a wedding planner. There are so many small details that have big implications that you shouldn’t have the stress of handling those things alone on the biggest day of your life.
