Yes, it’s true; superheroes wear capes… but so do these two warrior women! Replacing veils with capes & adding edge to elegance, this modren industrial styled bridal shoot was all about pushing against tradition. "We adopted the quirky colour scheme of coral, blush & burgundy, and paired it with black velvet accents."Megan of Wedding Warriors shares. In a revamped historical hotel (once completely gutted by fire) the girls wore capes crafted by a local milliner, with matching jewellery and headpieces.
Details of the flowers & décor styling elements.
Set against one of the hotel’s original walls, with concrete still clinging to the crumbling red bricks, the ceremony setup featured a pink velvet chaise and a scattering of tealights, with ivy creeping down the walls. The cake was concrete-textured, with flecks of gold marbling making this cake classy AF.
The florals and candles from the ceremony doubled as décor on the reception Sweetheart Table, with coral Chatterbox menus giving an extra pop of colourful fun!
Details of the Fashion choices.
Both gowns were beautiful slim-fit dresses, with floaty gossamer capes. Whilst one featured ostrich feathered shoulders and Gatsby-like patterned sequining, the other blended honey and ivory tones, with a deep plunging back and heavy lace detail. For the cherry on top one bride rocked her long hair with a ginger bridal mohawk. Her partner in crime: cute as a bridal button with a headband and two mini pigtails.
Other Details & Info.
The day ended at sunset in a local field. The sky was heavy with charcoal clouds & it rather quickly began to rain, but this made for some epic photos of the gowns & capes!!
