Showcasing Queensland's gorgeous country region, this charmed rustic country wedding inspiration shoot creates the warming homely and peaceful feeling you get when being out in the country and captures that golden glow. "We are privileged here in Queensland to have so many rustic country areas within our own backyard and as a photographer, I wanted to take advantage of that and create some stunning images for couples looking to get married. Our shoot also has a little ‘Boho’ added in with our bride and grooms attire." Michele shares.
"Highlights during the photo shoot were being able to work with our stunning models Shayla Jay Manning and Nathaniel Taplin who were so easy going and we all shared so much fun and laughter which is portrayed in our photos showcasing the fun and joyful side of getting married. Our gorgeous fun loving duo are famous for their content on TikTok- a popular app used to display short videos.
Another highlight was being able to use the amazing talent of April, our Makeup artist and hair stylist. She perfectly created a gorgeous, yet natural looking makeup palette on our bride and styled her hair with soft curls fitting in with our natural country theme.
Our shoot day ran really smoothly. We showcased three stunning gowns from
Goddess by Nature. Their gowns are absolutely stunning and Shayla Jay just glowed in each of them. Designed and made right here in Australia they own the title of being a multi-award winning Australian label for not only bridal attire but also Bridesmaids gowns as well. Their gowns are not only made to be comfortable and adaptable for different body shapes but most importantly to make every bride feel like a ‘Goddess’ on their special day.
What led us to this beautiful outback property in Wood Hill, near Beaudesert, QLD was the properties homestead, rustic sheds, permeant arbour and golden country paddocks. As we wanted to inspire couples getting married with the rustic country feel, this property had the perfect country backdrop. While this is not a leased out wedding venue, there are many homesteads within Qld who do hire out their properties or you may know someone that owns a property you can use. This styled shoot was simply to inspire the beautiful country and rustic feel.
Our favourite details on the day were the stunning floral bouquets designing by
Midesigns Floral. They are actually faux florals but look incredibly real and what’s fantastic about them is they can be displayed after a wedding as the perfect home decor being a reminder of the bride and groom's perfect day.
Our favourite moments would have to be all working together as creatives to bring together this shoot. Everyone was easy going and such a pleasure to work with. All were highly professional yet so friendly and positive with every idea presented to them. Another favourite moment would have to be when we included April’s son in a few of our photos. April had dressed him up all ready for his little scene in our shoot and he certainly didn’t let us down bringing us all laughter with his cute little face and personality.
