Nikola and Daniel were together for 15 months after meeting through a dating app whilst both living in London. Daniel proposed in Slovak mountains as he wanted to propose in Nikola's home country as they both knew the wedding would be in Australia. "We went for an 18km hike to ‘Zelene Pleso’ a glacier in in the Tatra Mountains - it’s stunning!

What led you to decide on your Wedding venue?
Daniel’s parents go married in Cabarita Beach, so it is meaningful for his family. The Kingscliff surf club had the best view and price/amenities out of the local venues.

What was the inspiration behind your Wedding theme?
Casual - we wanted everyone to have a good time without having to worry about anything.

Your most favourite moment of the day:
Taking a walk on the beach and eating breakfast together in the morning before the show started.

What was your favourite detail/s about the day?
Definitely the cake and sweets. Daniel’s family friend Margo baked them all for us and created the lovely signs going with it. She is so talented – everything was delicious and so beautiful. We keep telling her to start a business.

What does marriage mean to you?
The opportunity to spend my life with someone who makes me happy by just being who he is.

Advice:
Create a budget first and then go shopping because it can be pretty tempting to go overboard when you see all the sparkles. We created ours and made sure we stayed within the $7k.

Our celebrant Sandra, she was perfect in every sense and creates for us a beautiful ceremony.
