Q+A: PERSONALISED BRIDAL ROBES + ACCESSORIES | GLAMOUR + GRACE BRIDAL ADELAIDE SA

Adelaide based personalised Bridal accessory designer Kim created Glamour and Grace Bridal  in 2012 when Kim, a then full time graphic designer wanted to find the perfect headpiece for her own wedding. To her surprise, the options were either expensive or poor quality (she found out the hard way!) so she decided she would do something about it... and the rest is history. Within the space of 12 months, she expanded her range from headpieces and fascinators to robes, singlets, slippers and quickly became the number one ranked Australian seller on eBay Australia.

"To be honest, it all happened very quickly and I was struggling to get all my orders out. I was working past midnight most nights until I eventually had no choice but to quit my full time job and get some much needed help. A big part of the reason I started doing this was because I wanted my customers to receive the same level of products and service I expected and the only way I was able to do that was to put all my time and energy into the business. It was a difficult decision at the time but definitely the right one." Kim reflects.

The focus Kim puts on her products and service levels cannot be understated. After seven years of operation and thousands of sales, she still boasts a perfect 100%, 5 star rating from her happy customers on eBay, Etsy and Facebook.

Tell us about what GLAMOUR AND GRACE BRIDAL offers Brides for their Wedding day?
Outside of the ceremony and reception, the most memorable (and photographed) part of the wedding day is the time spent getting ready, which is where Glamour and Grace Bridal's products really shine. We offer full satin and cotton lace robes, singlets, slippers, pyjamas, headpieces and even cufflinks for the gents... but more importantly, we can personalise everything! Our print options include matte and metallic vinyl print, as well as standard rhinestone prints, in a wide range of colours and font styles. We even offer fully customised designs that their more creative buyers may prefer.

Not limiting our audience to just the bridal industry, we also cater to corporate events, fitness models, dance studios, beauty pageants, day spas, debutante balls and everything in between.

Advice:
When searching for bridal apparel, Glamour and Grace Bridal recommends brides create a shortlist of looks they like, do lots of research and don't leave things to the last minute. We're blessed to be living in the Information Age, where everything is only a click of the mouse away. With the dominance of social media and emergence of review sites, buyers should never need to gamble with their money and should always be able to make a well informed purchase.

Do you have a personal favourite style?
In terms of style, my personal taste has definitely changed over the years. I've always had a soft spot for a classic white robe, paired with one of the pastel colours and a rhinestone finish, which was the most popular combination when I started out. Now, I'm seeing much bolder choices, darker colours and much more personalisation and I love it!

Tell us about the best part about what you do:
I'm so blessed to do what I do and a major part of that has to do with the satisfaction I get from my buyers. Positive feedback, reviews, thank you emails, social media plugs, photos - they all add up to one big pat on the back! We also often get returning buyers and referrals, which is the ultimate compliment really.
