Benjamin and Nicola met through Ben’s Mum - She was a client at a salon Nicola used to work at and insisted that they meet and the rest is history! Together for 5 years before Benjamin proposed when the two were away for a long weekend at the snow in Jindabyne. "Ben and I had been on a long run snowboarding when he convinced me to dump our boards and go for a walk up the mountain. We walked to a secluded area where we were surrounded by snow covered trees, with breath taking views of a snowy covered Mt Kosciusko." Nicola tells. "Ben got on one keen and asked me to marry him. It was an incredibly special moment that we will remember for the rest of our lives."
what was the inspiration behind your engagement shoot concept? The inspiration behind our engagement shoot concept was the nature scapes of the Blue Mountains. We really wanted to capture the Australian native flora in the area and take advantage of the breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains.
highlights: Definitely getting caught in the rain!
favourite detail: The colours in the sky from the storm. The blue grey hues are incredible and created a beautiful backdrop for the shoot.
favourite moment: Our favourite moment from the day would have been when we decided to get out of the car and embrace the rain. At this stage we could have gone home, but deciding to stay ended up being an incredible decision that we definitely do not regret!
