Sakura - The beauty of Love. A celebration of love with traditional Japanese touches. Bridal muse, Yumi is Japanese and wanted to include moments of 'home' to the beginning of her new forever. With a long list of talented vendors all coming together in their own creative element we bought her vision to life. Just like the Sakura (or commonly known as the Cherry Blossom Tree). The blooms of this tree are delicate, tiny and cover the branches like beautiful clouds, much like love. As people grow closer, love blooms!
There is something incredibly whimsical about being surrounded by greenery and blooms, Le Sans Souci has created the perfect colour combinations to complete Yumi’s chosen traditional elements to this celebration. Surrounded by sweet treats and cakes designed by Cake House. Delicate stationery and little words of love feature in this day by Pepa Press.
The beautiful origami you see in the images were created by the Cake Artists daughter (she also studies Japanese and had such fun creating them.) The Japanese Gardens in Toowoomba (Queensland, Australia) was the perfect location, off to the side of the gardens, a perfectly private spot surrounded by Sakura Trees. It was so important to us to have these traditional elements included, it was the colour of the blooms of the Sakura that was the initial inspiration for this Styled Shoot.
At the conclusion of the ceremony and cocktail reception Yumi and James snuck off to have some portraits taken inspired by her heritage. The pops of pink were like little clouds (there was a soft breeze blowing which did loosen some of the blooms - my favourite moment was the little shower of blooms. It was magical.)
Trend Prediction: The new colour of love is pink, I’m sure of it! Soft and romantic but still deeply passionate.

Concept inspiration: The Sakura Tree (Cherry Blossum) which represents the fragility and beauty of life much like that of love. The shoot location was selected because of the incredible collection of Sakura Trees in the Japanese Gardens of Toowoomba. There was no question that this was the perfect place to celebrate the love of Yumi and James. Pops of pinks, golds and blooms everywhere!
