Babushka Girl was unofficially born in 2017 just as a side project. It wasn't until March 2019 that these two sisters decided to join forces and try this Wedding Floral thing for real. After a short brainstorm session Mia + Mon decided on the name ‘Babushka Girl’ as an ode to their late grandmother.

is there a story you would like to share from your experiences?
"Our last wedding of the year which was meant to be one of our simplest, turned out to be the trickiest. It was an outdoor ceremony featuring a circular arbour covered in foliage with some splashes of white florals. The wind was crazy on the day and the entire arbour was close to snapping just as we finished the set up. We had to think on our feet with very little time and ended up using stumps from a bush nearby as an anchor to hold it down. Moral of the story- be prepared for set-backs during bump in, the weather can turn on you in minutes, always have a roll of twine handy!"

advice:
Do your research and choose someone whose style you really love.
2020 predictions:
2019 was filled with soft blush and nude tones.. This year might just be the year of colour. Brighter, bolder hues and a more experimental approach to wedding florals.

We love creating on the day. Seeing the initial ideas and planning finally come to life and knowing that we were able to play a small part in the couples special day is the absolute best.
