This shoot was inspired by the concept of “How to WOW at your country wedding”. Initiated as a collaboration shoot between Royston House and When Freddie Met Lilly, the styling and photography focused on capturing the sheer beauty of our yet-to-be-released 2020 Bridal Range - the “Georgia Collection”.

Inspired by the Australian landscape and the ever-growing popularity of getting married in more rural locations. The photography, completed by Amanda from We are Twine, captures the true essence of our stunning Georgia Collection and how it covers all types of brides, from the more boho-esque to the modern and traditional brides.

Following the impact of world-wide events this year, it is more important than ever to support local small businesses.

We were thrilled to shoot this collection in conjunction with some of Queensland's best wedding vendors to showcase the incredible talents of Brisbane locals.

The team at Royston House were a dream to work with - a real highlight would have been piling into a couple of 4WD’s and driving around the beautifully expansive property to various photography locations to highlight all the areas the wedding venue has to offer.

We were able to work with some gorgeous horses as well, making it a much more fun shoot day than your standard studio shoot.

Our team of models and vendors have worked together for so long now that it was a really relaxed and natural photoshoot - there was plenty of laughter and love which is so refreshing to see when looking at wedding inspiration photos like these.

Being the first official photoshoot of the new Georgia Collection, the main highlight was definitely seeing all the beautiful design work come to life. Super special, especially at such a stunning location! Felt like a real wedding day coming together - lots of preparations beforehand and attempting to stick to the predetermined runsheet, but in the end, it was just pure beauty and elegance and oh so much fun!

Did you face any challenges on the day? Other than a few runs (or 4WD races) back to the main house to get a different veil or accessory to accentuate the beautiful gowns or a mercy-dash for chocolate and water for a little model and photographer break, everything went so beautifully smooth. That was so rewarding to see after weeks of preparation (and almost a year of designing the new collection!).

What led you to decide on this venue? After stumbling across this stunning venue on the Scenic Rim while researching beautiful country locations, we reached out to the team at Royston House to see if they would be interested in collaborating with us. Just took one phone call with the amazing Drew from Royston House and we knew this was the perfect spot for the shoot.

Honestly the dream location to hold a wedding or photoshoot! They have just recently started doing weddings so we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to work together and highlight our incredible new collection, along with their stunning location and facilities available.

"My favourite detail would be having the opportunity to work alongside all those amazing Queensland wedding vendors after such a challenging few months for our industry - everyone was back together doing what we love and are so good at." Vanessa - When Freddie Met Lilly.

Favourite moment: Seeing the models come out in a different stunning dress from our Georgia Collection and watching everyone working on the shoot make “oh wow” sounds. The combination of the new designs and the incredible landscape was simply breathtaking! With over 20 dresses in the collection, you can imagine how excited we got each time there was a quick change.

Our final location was in a huge field during “golden hour” and it was beyond divine! The sun setting beautifully in the background, a drone getting magnificent footage and a big group of models and friends coming together was simply spectacular and reminded me of the joyous and heartwarming feeling of a real wedding.
