Come on a unique Gold Coast adventure showcasing the beautiful landscape of Summer Land Camels and the stunning sunrise featuring the lovely camels that this fabulous team of Gold Coast wedding vendors worked with. "We wanted this shoot to inspire other couples to celebrate their special day however they want." Cherrod of Match Made Photography tells.

highlights:
The shoot ran so seamlessly! It’s amazing how great things can run when you have a stellar team of vendors that come together to help a vision come to life.

I think our biggest challenge was working with the camels. I was very adamant on working around the camels’ schedule as I know that animals can be moody and have emotions (just like us humans do!), and the best time for that was from early morning to 2 PM. I really wanted to shoot at sunrise to get those epic blue hour shots, but I didn’t know if it would be easy or hard to find other vendors on board for an early start time, but somehow, we found vendors that were keen for the very early start times! This also meant that things like hair and makeup had to be done in the dark as they started at 3:15 AM and lighting wasn’t the best but given the start times everything ran smoothly throughout the shoot! The 1:30 AM wakeup time was so incredibly worth it.

I visited Summer Land Camels about a year ago, and when I first drove up the driveway to the café, my mouth just dropped wide open and I was in complete awe at how beautiful the location is. I just knew immediately that I wanted to return to shoot a styled scene here one day. Fast-forward a year later, and here we are! Making the vision that I had in my head, come to life.

The florals by Driftwood Blue Floral Events! I honestly think that without all the floral arrangements that the vision wouldn’t have come together perfectly. Sharon did an amazing job of creating so many different floral arrangements for each setup and we just adored them all.

The biggest highlight would have to be being able to witness the sunrise throughout the whole process from start to finish. We were there from dark until we saw blue skies, and just seeing the sun rise over the mountains and lighting up the different setups made me a bit teary eyed just seeing how beautiful everything came together, because I just knew the photos would be stunning. There was just something so magical about witnessing the sun rise and lighting up all the hard work that everyone had been putting up in the dark with head torches on.

And last but not least, my last favourite moment was watching the couple interact. Federica is a professional model, and her partner is not, but my goodness do they have some intense chemistry. Seeing them interact with each other while shooting them and watching how passionately they cared for each other just pulled at my heart strings and just solidified my decision that I chose the perfect couple for this shoot.
