With a swipe in the right direction, Tiah and Michael hit it off with their common interest in travel, with both having upcoming Europe trips planned for the Summer. These travelling lovebirds were together for 4 years when they were on a trip in Thailand exploring new places on a scooter all day.
"Michael was adamant he wanted to explore one more beach. We found these cool little hidden stairs that were kind of in the jungle and it lead us to this beautiful secluded beach. We were trying to make one of those travel videos on our go pro our whole trip haha, and I went for a swim as Michael was in the beach bag getting the go pro set up to catch the awesome sunset. He told me to hop out of the water for a great photo opportunity and as I was posing for the camera, he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I was kind of stunned as it was our 4th year anniversary and I thought he was buying me something nice for that and saw the Tiffany box and my reaction was ‘Oh babe you shouldn’t have’. Tears streaming I eventually realised what was happening and I said yes!.jpg)

Our initial plans were a destination wedding over in
Thailand. We have always loved this place but thanks to a certain pandemic we
had to come up with plan B.
We decided a South West wedding as we still wanted a
destination wedding. We looked around at countless venues before falling in
absolute love with Black Brewing Co.
It was perfect for us.
A cocktail laid back
wedding, with less formalities. We love food, drinks and socialising and
basically just wanted a big party with our nearest and dearest without all the
pressure of a wedding.

The ceremony was beautiful and perfect. We were both just in
our little bubble, surrounded by our loved ones and it was just such a perfect
moment. Also when we went off to get photos by the beach, just the two of us.
It was nice to actually take it all in. And of course the after party! One of
the best nights that is still spoken about today.

I loved the flowers and the cake. I could not have faulted
it!
suit and gown shopping.
I found my dress at the 3rd shop I visited
Collezione with my mum and 3 bridesmaids. It was such a fun day full of laughs
and such a relaxed place. Amelia was amazing, she did not put any pressure on
me at all and was so helpful. This was actually the same shop by sister and
sister in-law bought their wedding dresses from too.
Michael: Overall the team at Politix made it easy and a fun experience. Tiah and myself already went previously to pick out what we liked for me and the boys. Then on the day us boys made a day of it, got sized up and had some lunch and a couple coldies afterwards as you do.

Marriage is a lifetime commitment. To have each other’s backs no matter what. To always keeping our love alive with fun, spontaneous adventures. Growing together, working hard together and pushing each other through lifes challengers.
advice.
Plan your dream day not anyone elses. Do what you both want.
Having an excel spreadsheet with all your budget. It can get very overwhelming and you can easily lose track of spending without this. And guys, please help your fiancé out with planning. Remember its both your special day, it can become stressful in the build-up, but to always work together as a team.

Aisle song - Ronan Keating – When you say nothing at all
Recessional - Signed Sealed Delivered. Both of these were
played by Tom from Askya on the acoustic. A beautiful touch.
First dance – Hero – Enrique Iglesias
All of our vendors
were amazing.
I’d have to say Deb
from Passionate Petal our florist was amazing! She really kept me in the loop
via phone call updates the whole way leading up to the wedding. I must have
been the most annoying bride as I didn’t know my flowers but had something in
mind in my head a rustic / boho look. She pulled it off with exactly how I
envisioned and more.
Also our
photographer Jimmy. We were really tight for timing for photos and all we
wanted was beach photos with a 4:30pm ceremony. We managed to shorten our
ceremony and I was even 15 minutes early. Jimmy was amazing and got through our
family photos and then we jumped in his 4x4 and flew to the beach just so we
could make last light. As there was no way our kombi van was getting us there
that quick. Our bridal party followed behind in the kombi and pulled up on the
side to stay hydrated. We were so thank-ful of Jimmy because we are in aw of
our beach photos!
Also our hair and makeup artists, Abby and Emily. Thank-you beautiful girls for making our morning so relaxed filled with many laughs.
